In this Together?

“In this Together?” is an outdoor art exhibition by graphic artist GABE, celebrating local creative communities and resilience in the face of cultural crisis. Unsupported and isolated by the pandemic, artists and creatives have had to support each other during these challenging times.

Inspired by conversations with five of his favourite, fellow creatives from Munich, GABE created bespoke artworks that bring each of his collaborators’ stories to life.

For Jessica, lockdown has helped her approach her creativity with a new found strength and confidence. Gabe’s artwork »CONFIDENCE for Jessica is designed to celebrate self-empowerment and self-expression.

For Santi, it was his support network in Munich that encouraged him to remain creative throughout the pandemic. The artwork artwork Gabe created is called »BUILDING BLOCKS« and it is a spotlight on this collective ability to empower and enable creativity.

Louis’ artwork »GRASSROOTS« represents the power of community, and how a new local network forced him to revaluate his relationships and appreciate the value of authentic local connections.

Gabe’s piece »ESCAPE« for Annette represents the magic moments of escapism and freedom she feels when creating, that have helped her cope with the events of the last year.

To support artists in need, Gabe will also produce a limited edition riso print of »GRASSROOTS« . For two weeks 20 € from each sale will be donated to www.coronakuenstlerhilfe.de an organisation dedicated to supporting artists who have been financially affected by the cultural impact of Covid-19.
